Pour & Sip February 2023 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95

The shortest month of the year is here, but we still have five brilliant whiskies to get stuck into! We're travelling to the Isle of Mull, Campbeltown, Glasgow, Kentucky, and Oxford through the power of these little drams.

Ledaig 10 Year Old: To this day this remains one of only two permanent Ledaig core bottlings, made from malt peated to around 40 PPM at Port Ellen maltings. Though it is indeed an immensely drinkable smoky single malt, that doesn’t mean it’s not full of richness.

Glasgow 1770 - Cognac Cask Finished: A limited peated release, with the smoky spirit initially matured in American white oak barrels and finished in Cognac barriques. There are just 882 bottles of this complex whisky, released for the Small Batch Series.

Glen Scotia 12 Year Old Seasonal Release 2022: The 2022 edition of Glen Scotia's Seasonal Release, an unpeated single malt was matured for 12 years, initially in first-fill bourbon barrels before a year-long finish in amontillado sherry casks. Bottled at cask strength without any colour, it's packed full of dry spices, coastal savoury flecks, and nuttiness.

Yellowstone Select Bourbon: The Select Bourbon from the Yellowstone range, made with a mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley, this is a full-bodied, easy-sipping bourbon with a good spicy rye kick.

The Oxford Artisan Distillery Rye Whisky - Purple Grain: Made from 70% heritage rye, 20% wheat, and 10% malted barley, after two years in charred American oak casks this was moved to purple moscatel casks from Setúbal, Portugal for another year and two months. The distillery’s classic buttery, pastry-like notes are bolstered by nuts and dried red fruit from the cask.

Pour & Sip January 2023 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95

This month we're kicking off the year with three Scotch whiskies, and two single malts from England and Sweden! Expected peaty delights, fruity cask finishes, and even an exclusive whisky.

Highland Park 15 Year Old Viking Heart: Taking great inspiration from its Viking heritage, Highland Park Viking Heart is a 15-year-old single malt, matured predominantly in sherry-seasoned European oak casks, packing in fruity, spicy notes, as well as sherry-seasoned American oak casks, adding a dose of vanilla.

Benrinnes 15 Year Old 2006 - Old Particular Fanatical About Flavour (Douglas Laing) (MoM Exclusive):  This Benrinnes was bottled just for Master of Malt, that friendly bunch behind Pour & Sip. Distilled in November 2006, it spent the next 15 years in a single cask before the team at independent bottler Douglas Laing chose to bottle it up in January 2022 for the Old Particular Fanatical About Flavour series, with just 294 bottles released at a generous 51.5% ABV.

The One Colheita Cask Finished: The One range is a blend of grain and malt Scotch whiskies from the Highlands, Speyside, and Islay, though at its heart is The Lakes’ very own single malt. This particular release was finished in colheita Port casks, adding an extra layer of fruitiness to the blended whisky.

High Coast Timmer - Peat Smoke: A smoky Swedish whisky, distilled from Belgian barley peated to around 46 PPM and matured in first-fill bourbon barrels for around six years. As such, there’s lots of creamy vanilla and tropical fruit to be found alongside waves of warming smoke and spice.

Berry Bros. & Rudd Blended Malt - Speyside Reserve: Released as part of the Berry Bros. Classic Range, the aim of this whisky was to capture all of those light, fruity, and creamy characters associated with Scotland's Speyside region by masterfully bringing together a range of single malts from various distilleries.

Pour & Sip December 2022 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95Regular price

Christmas is coming, so you know what that means – time for a little festive gift from Pour & Sip, along with five warming drams to get stuck into! Inside December's box you'll find a toasty pair of Pour & Sip socks as a little Happy Christmas from us, plus five excellent Scotch whiskies with all sorts of cask types and flavour profiles.

Tamnavulin Red Wine Cask Edition: Initially aged in American oak barrels before being moved to casks which previously held French Cabernet Sauvignon wine, bringing layers of jammy dark fruit and gentle spices.

Glen Moray 15 Year Old: First launched in 2016, the 15 Year Old is a 50:50 blend of American oak-matured whisky, which enhances the classic buttery style of Glen Moray, and oloroso sherry-matured spirits, bringing a symphony of spice to the mix.

Deanston 12 Year Old 2007 Calvados Cask Finish: A more unusual offering from the Highland distillery, which spent its final two years resting in ex-Calvados casks, a French brandy produced from apples (and sometimes pears). The fruits really come through in the flavour, along with stone fruit, baking spices, and pastry-like notes.

Butterscotch & Vanilla & Toast & A Generation 30 Year Old: A staggeringly well-aged blended grain Scotch whisky from the &Whisky range, this is a well-balanced mix of grain whiskies from a range of Scotch distilleries. The title flavours are there, but there are also flecks of citrus, florals, and chocolate in here, too.

Mannochmore 14 Year Old 2007 Madeira Hogshead - Drinks by the Dram (Mossburn): This single malt was distilled in 2007 at the Speyside Mannochmore distillery, bottled by Mossburn specially for Drinks by the Dram. It was bottled at cask strength in May 2022 after a finish in a Madeira wine hogshead, bolstering Mannochmore’s fruity and floral house style with flavours of caramel, peach, nuts, and citrus.

Pour & Sip November 2022 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95

November's whiskies bring us a fruity, smoky, and all-round delicious selection from Scotland, Ireland, and France! With a generous helping of wine casks among the range, as well as a few sherried offerings, this box is packing some flavour.

Teaninich 11 Year Old 2010 (cask 356846) - James Eadie (Master of Malt Exclusive): Distilled in 2010, this single cask Teaninich was bottled at cask strength by independent bottler James Eadie exclusively for Master of Malt, after it spent its final 16 months in a first-fill ex-Amontillado sherry cask.

Kingsbarns Dream to Dram: The flagship single malt from a relatively new Lowland Scotch distillery, Kingsbarns! First released in 2015, it's matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks as well as first-fill STR ex-wine barriques.

Green Spot Château Montelena: The single pot still whiskey has been finished for 12 months in casks which previously held Zinfandel wine from Château Montelena in Napa Valley, which is run by an Irish family originally from Waterford in southeast Ireland.

Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2013: While Bruichladdich is known as one of Islay’s rare unpeated whiskies, its Port Charlotte range shows the distillery's smokier side. This release celebrates local Islay barley peated to 40PPM, and was aged in ex-American whiskey casks, before 25% of the whisky was finished in Pessac-Léognan wine casks from Bordeaux.

Armorik Sherry Cask: Produced at the oldest distillery in France, Armorki helped create the Breton Whisky geographical indication, meaning that all Breton whisky must be produced from water sourced from Breton soil, as well as being fermented, distilled, and aged in Brittany. This release meets all those specifications, and is aged in old ex-oloroso sherry casks.

Pour & Sip October 2022 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95

This month we're tasting our way through Scotland, England, and even Finland, with some unusual smoke, funky fermentation, and local grains taking the spotlight.

GlenWyvis Single Malt 2018 Batch 02/18: Distilled entirely from local Concerto barley, this was then filled into a combination of 23 casks: 60% first-fill ex-Tennessee whisky, 25% first-fill ex-oloroso sherry, and 15% refill hogshead casks, bringing a harmony of creamy sweetness, dried fruit, and spices.

Tomatin 14 Year Old Port Wood Finish: A rich, cask-finished Highland single malt initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels, before being moved to casks which previously held tawny Port for around 50 years for a one-year finishing period, balancing between spices, fresh red fruit, and that hallmark gently floral, honeyed Highland character.

Fettercairn 12 Year Old: Fettercairn is known for its tropical fruit flavours found in its new make, and this release was created specifically to embody those tropical characters, with heaps of mango, pineapple, and even coconut making themselves known, further bolstered by over a decade in American oak ex-bourbon casks.

Kyrö Wood Smoke Malt Rye Whisky: A delicately smoky malted rye whisky from Finland made entirely with malted Finnish rye smoked with alder wood, which is then aged in a combination of French oak, new American oak, and ex-bourbon casks. While the alder smoke brings a delicate, yet savoury smokiness to the spirit, the cask recipe balances that with peppery spice, and plenty of caramel and vanilla sweetness.

Masthouse Grain Whisky: From Kent’s Copper Rivet Distillery, the team behind Masthouse is all about provenance and transparency: this Grain Whisky is made with barley, wheat, and rye, goes through a long fermentation, and is distilled in a combination of pot and column stills. A gorgeous blend of creamy, nutty, herbal, and spicy flavours thanks to the trio of grains.

Pour & Sip September 2022 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95

It's our second birthday, and we can't wait to celebrate with you with yet another stellar selection of whiskies! Five of them, as always, and this month they’re from all over Scotland, with a special appearance from Tennessee, too.

Daddy Rack 4 Year Old Cask Strength (barrel 06): A cask strength Tennessee whiskey here from Daddy Rack, produced from a mash bill of corn (80%), rye (10%), and malted barley (10%) and drawn from barrel number 6, yielding just 228 bottles. Precious stuff!
Coachbuilt Whisky:
Created by Formula One racing driver Jenson Button and spirits expert George Koutsakis, this blend is made with spirits from each of Scotland’s five whisky-producing regions, married together in ex-sherry casks.
Nc'nean Huntress 2022:
From the 100% renewable Nc’Nean distillery, Huntress is made with a combination of three yeasts, one of which is usually used for rum instead of whisky, meaning there’s loads of tropical fruit flavours in here.
The Glenrothes 12 Year Old - Soleo Collection:
A sherry cask-focused single malt from Glenrothes, where distillation takes place in very tall stills, meaning there’s more reflux (when spirit falls back down the still neck and is then re-distilled), making for a complex, light spirit that harmonises with sherry casks.
Isle of Raasay Single Malt:
The first core release from Isle of Raasay which takes inspiration from older styles of Hebridean single malts, so is lightly smoky thanks to a blend of both peated (using floral Highland peat) and unpeated spirits, aged in rye whiskey, chinkapin oak, and red wine casks.

Pour & Sip August 2022 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95

August's Pour & Sip box is packing whiskies from new and old distilleries across Scotland and Japan, as well as a mysterious Islay single malt. Get ready for a range of different cask types too, and a few fermentation-focused delights. Let's get stuck in!

Lochlea Our Barley: The first ever core release from Lochlea, which benefits from a lengthy fermentation and a maturation in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and STR (shaved, toasted, and re-charred) casks.

Smokehead Rum Rebel: An Islay single malt finished in ex-Caribbean rum casks, the savoury, smoky notes from the whisky base pair brilliantly with the sweetness of the rum cask, which brings a very healthy dose of tropical fruit and sweetness to the spirit.

Glencadam 13 Year Old 2008 Réserve de Sauternes: Initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks before being moved to casks which previously held sweet Sauternes dessert wine, this single malt is full of stone fruits, tropical fruit, and butterscotch flavours.

Lindores Abbey Single Cask: Distilled in May 2018 entirely from Fife barley, this single malt was filled into the distillery’s 386th cask, an ex-bourbon barrel from Kentucky’s Old Forester. It was drawn from the cask in June 2022, with a yield of just 246 bottles – a sweet, fruit-forward, and gently creamy spirit.

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky: Nothing to do with your morning brew, this Japanese whisky is distilled in a Coffey still, produced entirely from malted barley at Nikka’s Miyagikyo distillery. The malt is allowed to shine through in this release, full of notes of baked goods, woody spices, and citrus fruits.

Pour & Sip July 2022 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95

We love a themed box, and know you do too! With the month of July comes a celebration that we can’t ignore – of course we’re talking about the 4th of July, American Independence Day. The country has so much to offer in terms of whiskey (way more than just bourbon), but in this box we thought we’d spotlight some American cask finishes and oak varieties on other types of whiskies, too.

Westland American Oak: Inspired by Pacific North West beer culture, made using five different types of barley and Belgian Saison brewer’s yeast, and matured in new American oak and first-fill ex-bourbon casks. Thanks to the combination of malt varieties, yeast, and casks, it’s a rich whiskey full of chocolate, dry oak, and tart fruit.

FEW Bourbon: The flagship bourbon from the Illinois-based distillery, produced from a mash bill of 70% corn, 20% rye, and 10% malt, aged in barrels made from charred Minnesota white oak. The distillery prides itself on being grain to glass, producing all of its whiskey under its own roof.

Peerless Small Batch Rye: The first release of a whiskey distilled under the Peerless label since Prohibition, thought doesn’t go too heavy on the signature grain, so while it showcases all the hallmarks of a classic rye, with warming spices and just a touch of herbaceousness, it also allows the buttery, sweet notes from the corn in the mash bill to shine.

Jura 14 Year Old American Rye Cask: A hot-off-the-press release from Jura, this is a pretty unusual Scotch whisky, finished in casks which previously held American rye whiskey for around six months. The cask recipe imparts balanced layers of vanilla, caramel, and tropical fruit, with the rye whiskey in particular adding notes of cinnamon, chocolate, and honey.

Balvenie 12 Year Old - The Sweet Toast of American Oak: The introductory release from the Balvenie Stories series, which takes Balvenie's ex-bourbon oak aged whisky  and finishes it in deeply-toasted virgin oak barrels from Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky.

Pour & Sip June 2022 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95

We're travelling to Tennessee, Scotland, and Sweden through the power of whisky with this month's drams, with Swedish cloudberry wine casks, some well-aged Lowland single malt, and even a celebrity bourbon among the tasty offerings.

Heaven's Door Tennessee Bourbon: Heaven’s Door is a Tennessee bourbon co-created by Bob Dylan, with the help of master blender Ryan Perry. The straight bourbon is distilled, aged, and bottled in Tennessee, produced from a sour mash made up of 70% corn and 30% ‘small grains’ (such as rye or wheat). Matured for at least six years in American oak barrels, it's full of buttery sweetness, with jammy fruits, oaky tannins, and nuttiness.

Mackmyra Stjärnrök: A subtly smoky Swedish single malt from the wonderful Mackmyra, Stjärnrök translates as ‘Star Smoke’. It’s made up of Oloroso sherry-matured peated malt, and bourbon-matured unpeated malt. There’s virgin American oak in the mix too, though the most unusual addition is Swedish oak ex-cloudberry wine casks, in which a proportion of the whisky was finished.

Arran 10 Year Old: Officially launched in 2006, this 10 Year Old has scooped up numerous awards throughout the years, likely because it exudes all the honeyed richness we know and love from Arran. Yes, this is an island whisky, but it’s full of sweeter, malty, citrus notes, rather than the smokier flavours many associate with whiskies from the region.

Auchentoshan 18 Year Old: This well-aged Lowland single malt is matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks, so it’s rather grain-forward, with subtle woodiness, vanilla creaminess, and distinctive citrus notes in support. A short fermentation gives Auchentoshan a distinctive cereal note as well as a generous dose of zesty citrus, while the triple distillation results in a lighter and sweeter flavour profile.

Fable Blended Malt Batch One: Fable is about gothic illustrations, and in its previous releases Blair Athol was represented by a crow, Mannochmore by a hound, and Dailuaine the moon – all of which, if you could see the full bottle, you’d notice appear on the graphic label of this blended malt! It spent seven years in ex-bourbon barrels and hogshead casks, with just 3,000 limited bottles released.

Pour & Sip April 2022 Box

£29.95Regular price

April brings with it another five globe-trotting whiskies, from Scotland's Highlands, the Isle of Skye, Israel, Finland, and Canada! There's a whole load of different cask types to enjoy among the whiskies, so let's get stuck in.

Milk & Honey Apex - Pomegranate Wine Cask Finish: The Apex series from the Milk & Honey distillery in Tel Aviv is all about innovation and exceptional casks – as such, this whisky was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before a six-month finishing period in casks which previously held Israeli pomegranate wine.

Glenfarclas 105: A magnificent cask strength Highlander, Glenfarclas 105 was first released all the way back in 1968 when Glenfarclas was the first distillery to release a cask strength single malt. It's aged in a combination of both ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, bottled at a burly 60%.

Talisker Port Ruighe: From Scotland’s stunning Isle of Skye comes this rich, oily Talisker single malt. Port Ruighe (pronounced 'Portree') is named after the Gaelic spelling of the once bustling trading port on the island. After a maturation in a combination of ex-bourbon, refill European oak, and heavily-charred casks, this single malt was appropriately finished in ex-Port casks.

Teerenpeli 5 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company): It’s That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s first ever Teerenpeli bottling from Finland. It's aged for five years in Oloroso sherry casks housed in sea containers sat outside the distillery which are subject to some crazy temperature fluctuations, from -35°C to +30°C.

Pike Creek 10 Year Old: Pike Creek 10 Year Old is a Canadian whisky finished in ex-rum barrels. While there is a good proportion of rye in the mash bill, there's some corn in here too, and it's matured in warehouses without any climate control, which means loads of spirit and wood interaction.

Pour & Sip March 2022 Box

Pour & Sip

£29.95Regular price

With International Women’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day falling in March, we couldn’t pick just one to celebrate in this month's Pour & Sip box – so we’ve gone and picked five excellent whiskies that nod to both days!

J.J. Corry Lasóg - Pour & Sip Exclusive: It’s our very own exclusive whiskey from our friends over at J.J. Corry in Ireland! Called Lasóg, it's a blend of 60% well-aged malt and 40% grain Irish whiskeys, with the grain bringing a delicate vanilla-forward sweetness to the juicy barley notes.

Aberfeldy 16 Year Old: From Aberfeldy's core range, this single malt is finished in first-fill ex-Oloroso sherry casks, bringing heaps of festive dried fruits and spices to the whisky.

Dingle Single Malt: Dingle Distillery’s first core whiskey, it's triple distilled and then matured in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry and ex-bourbon casks, in proportions of 61% and 39% respectively. It’s brought down to bottling strength with local water from a 240-feet well, and presented at 46.3%.

Benriach The Smoky Twelve: Based in Speyside, Benriach only peats its malt for a brief period each year, called ‘smoke season’. The smoke is full of sweeter, aromatic notes compared to the meaty, savoury smokiness of the Islands. The Smoky Twelve is a blend of peated and unpeated malts drawn from a trio of cask types: ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and ex-Marsala wine casks.

Brenne Estate Cask French Single Malt Whisky: Estate Cask is made with local Cognac-grown malted barley. The whisky is then initially matured in French Limousin oak casks before it’s moved to ex-Cognac casks for a finishing period – Brenne claims that it was the first single malt in the world to be aged exclusively in these two cask types.

However, its Single Barrel releases always use the same recipe using mash bill ‘B’, with 60% corn, 35% rye, and 5% malted barley.

Hibiki Japanese Harmony: Harmony is a well-balanced blended whisky from the Hibiki range of Japanese whisky, featuring malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, as well as grain whisky from the Chita distillery. The whiskies are drawn from five different cask types, including American white oak, native Japanese Mizunara oak, and ex-sherry casks, full of honeyed fruits, florals, and fragrant wood.

The One Moscatel Cask Finished: A fruity, honeyed delight from The Lakes Distillery, The One is a blend of grain and malt Scotch whiskies from Speyside and Islay, though at its heart is The Lakes’ own single malt. Finished in ex-Moscatel casks, this whisky has taken on an abundance of chocolate and stone fruit flavours.

The Glenturret 10 Year Old Peat Smoked (2021 Release): The Glenturret’s annual 10 Year Old Peat Smoke release is a delicious nod to the distillery’s peaty history. While today most of its production is unpeated, this limited release features a splash of peated spirit too, matured in both first-fill and second-fill European and American oak casks – expect rich smoke alongside soft fruits and florals.

Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old Cask Strength - 2021 Edition: The 2021 edition of Bunnahabhain's annual, well-sherried 12 Year Old Cask Strength release. New year, new whiskies! We can’t wait to get stuck into another year of sharing our favourite whiskies with you all. So, without further ado, let’s see what we’ve got for you this month. From a Pour & Sip-exclusive Scotch to a New Zealand single malt, it’s a pretty awesome selection, if we may say so ourselves.

Compass Box Glasgow Blend Single Marrying Cask - Pour & Sip Exclusive: Pour & Sip Exclusive alert! This single cask blend is made up predominantly of Craigellachie malt and Cameronbridge grain whiskies, with smaller proportions of Clynelish and Laphroaig, and a Highland malt blend in support. Heavily-toasted French oak, first-fill and refill ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads, and ex-sherry butts are among the cask maturations, with all the whiskies married in an ex-Clynelish cask for 15 months before bottling in August 2021. Hallmark waxy, floral notes from Clynelish sit among ripe fruits, French oak spices, and savoury nuances.

The Cardrona Growing Wings Solera - Sherry & Bourbon Cask: A cask strength single malt from Cardrona Distillery in New Zealand, matured in a combination of ex-Oloroso sherry and ex-bourbon casks. The whisky itself is packed with oily nuts and juicy dried from the sherry cask, along with creamier vanilla notes from the bourbon cask.

Tobermory 12 Year Old: From Tobermory Distillery on Scotland’s Isle of Mull comes this fabulous 12-year-old single malt. First released in early 2019, it was launched in celebration of the distillery returning to life after a two-year break! It’s matured exclusively in American oak casks before being bottled up, full of ripe orchard fruits, creamy malt, and a hint of coastal salinity.

Jura The Loch: A spicy single malt from the wonderful Jura distillery, found on the Scottish island of the same name 60 miles from the mainland. It’s named The Loch after the distillery’s all-important water source, Market Loch, found 1,000 feet above sea level. The whisky itself is a blend of peated and unpeated spirits, matured in both American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and casks which previously held 30-year-old Pedro Ximénez sherry.

Loch Lomond Peated Single Grain: Based in the Highlands, Loch Lomond has one of the most unique still set-ups in the whole of Scotland. It currently boasts three different still set-ups, with the original Lomond stills (a combination of pot and column stills), traditional pot stills, and Coffey column stills, giving it the option to produce a plethora of different spirits. This particular bottling is produced using heavily-peated malted barley distilled in a Coffey still, and matured in a combination of first and refill American oak ex-bourbon casks, adding a bundle of ripe fruit and sweet creamy notes to the smoky spirit.

Teeling 13 Year Old Single Grain Red Wine Finish: This is the second (and oldest) Irish single grain from Teeling, made from 95% corn and 5% malted barley. Initially matured in ex-bourbon casks for nine years, it spent another four years in ex-Bordeaux red wine casks.

Penderyn Portwood: From the first distiller in Wales for over 100 years, Penderyn produces a super light and fruity new make spirit. This particular edition is matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in ex-Port barrels, bottled without chill-filtration or colouring.

Tamdhu Batch Strength (Batch 6): Tamdhu's Batch Strength single malt series is well-loved, and this is the sixth release! This edition spent its days entirely in ex-Oloroso sherry casks before it was bottled up at cask strength, a generous 56.8%.

Christmas Cake & Dark Chocolate & Medjool Dates & Cinnamon 8 Year Old: From the &Whisky range comes this slightly mysterious single malt. It's sourced from an undisclosed distillery in Scotland’s prolific Speyside region, and was matured for eight years in a decent proportion of first-fill Oloroso sherry octaves, which are much smaller than your average cask – just 50 litres!

Pour & Sip September 2021 Birthday Box

Pour & Sip

£24.95Regular price

It's our birthday 🥳 and it's time to party with five great whiskies and extra treats: a Pour & Sip crystal whisky tumbler and some diddy Angostura bitters. (Yep, you guessed it, we'll be mixing up a celebratory Old Fashioned cocktail this month!)

Deanston Virgin Oak: A cask-finished single malt from this certified organic Highland distillery. It spent the majority of its life in ex-bourbon casks, before it was moved to brand new virgin oak casks from Kentucky. The virgin oak adds spicy flavours here among the creamy, fruity flavours from the maturation. If you were going to select a Scotch whisky to use in an Old Fashioned, you could certainly do worse!

Irish Single Malt #2 15 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company): An independent bottling of Irish single malt aged for at least 15 years and bottled at a healthy 50.2%. Seem a total mystery? Well there weren't all that many distilleries producing single malt on the island of Ireland 15 year ago... Enjoy a decadent symphony of creamy malt and honeyed orchard fruits in this Boutique-y treat.

Nc'nean Organic Single Malt Whisky: Nc'nean is relatively new on the whisky scene, founded in March 2017 by Annabel Thomas. It was the first fully organic modern distillery in Scotland powered by 100% renewable energy, too! Thanks to long mash time, slow fermentation, and unusual yeast strains, there’s bundles of ripe, fresh stone fruit notes to enjoy.

Wilderness Trail Cask Strength Rye: Where lots of American distillers favour sour mash, Wilderness Trail makes its whiskey with a sweet mash. Fermented at a higher pH, the reason it’s less common is because it’s a little harder to control than its sour counterpart. There’s hallmark rye spice, though thanks to the mash and fermentation, there’s a wonderful creaminess and lots of sweet citrus flavours, too.

Aber Falls 2nd Release: North Wales’ first whisky distillery in over 100 years released their first expression in May 2021, and it sold out like hot cakes! This shiny new release is matured in ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, as well as ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks. Rather unusually, it’s distilled entirely from Welsh malted barley in a combination of copper pot and stainless steel stills, and is brought down to bottling strength with rock-filtered water from the beautiful Aber Falls waterfall from which the distillery takes its name.
