Diary of a Cask with Aber Falls – Episode 2

Our Diary of a Cask series with Welsh distillery Aber Falls continues! In Episode 2 the team takes us through the different kinds of stills and condensers, new make spirits, and the process of filling their whisky into cask.

Been missing the delights of the first distillery in North Wales in over 100 years? You’ll be thrilled to know Diary of a Cask is back! We introduced the five-part video series with Episode 1, so head over there if you’d like a little refresh of what it’s all about. Now it’s time for Episode 2, where we’re going to get into the nitty gritty stuff. The wonderful James Wright, managing director, and Sam Foster, distillery team leader, take us through all the intriguing production processes that make Aber Falls unique – from various kinds of stills and condensers, resulting in four(!) different kinds of new make spirit, to choosing the cask which will hold the precious whisky. Let’s get geeky!

In Episode 3 we’ll meet the rest of the team, and get stuck into all things flavour – but we don’t want to give too much away!
