Product details
Walter Teeling established a Dublin distillery back in 1782. Two eventful centuries later, the Teelings would break Irish Distillers’ monopoly (they owned both of the only surviving Irish whiskey distilleries) when John Teeling converted an old potato alcohol plant into Cooley distillery and later revived Kilbeggan, before establishing Great Northern distillery. It would be John’s sons however, Jack and Stephen, who brought whiskey back to Dublin in 2015 with the first new distillery in the capital in 125 years.
Teeling became fully Bacardi-owned in 2026 (the brothers are still involved), but what we’ve got here is a fun indie craft beer collaboration from the years between when we helped to distribute them. A 12 months+ finish (after 5 years in bourbon barrels) in DOT Brew Rum Red Dark VII Irish amber ale casks, a beer aged in (ex rum) peated and unpeated Teeling whiskey casks!
