Product details
The second bottling to join the core range from Lagg Distillery, Corriecravie is a limited-edition peated single malt which will be bottled just once a year, named after a hamlet just northwest of the village of Lagg. It’s matured initially in bourbon barrels before a six-month finish in oloroso sherry hogsheads sourced directly from producer Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain, featuring concerto barley and water from the distillery’s own borehole.
The yeast and fermentation time were chosen to create a fuller, richer spirit, and notes of sweet spices and rich fruit stand out at a generous bottling strength of 55% ABV, without any chill filtration or colour. Lagg is the second site from the well-regarded Arran distillery, which started being built at Lochranza in 2017, filling its first cask in April 2019.
