Wolfburn 10 Year Old

A milestone release in the history of Wolfburn, this is its first permanent age statement whisky! With a decade of maturation under its belt spent entirely in second-fill oloroso sherry-seasoned Spanish oak hogsheads, it’s a delicious departure from the bourbon cask influence we more commonly see from the distillery.

While it produces both peated and unpeated spirit, this edition is unpeated, and the sweetness from the sherry bolsters the malt-forward, floral, and fruity new make wonderfully. Though original Wolfburn distillery dates back to 1821 and closed its doors back in the 19th century, the current Wolfburn distillery was founded in 2013 and became the northernmost distillery in mainland Scotland, situated just 350 metres from the original site
