Product details
This dram comes from the very first Italian whisky distillery, PUNI! Relatively new on the whisky scene, production at PUNI began in the spring of 2012. While the distillery uses traditional pot stills from Scotland, its water is sourced from the local Stelvio National Park. Its name comes from the river Puni, which flows through the valley.
This particular release was independently-bottled by Master of Malt (the brains behind Pour & Sip!), and is a blended whisky produced from a trio of grains: malted barley, malted rye, and malted wheat. Before bottling the whisky was treated to a finish in a pinot noir barrique, imparting rich red fruit and subtly drying spice notes.
