This single malt was distilled at the Speyside Mannochmore distillery, but was bottled by Mossburn specially for Drinks by the Dram (which powers Pour & Sip, alongside Master of Malt). Distilled in 2007, it was bottled at cask strength in May 2022 after a finish in a hogshead that previously held Madeira wine, a fortified wine made on the Portuguese Madeira Islands.
Seeing as Mannochmore’s house style is fruity and floral, and Madeira wine is often filled with flavours of caramel, peach, nuts, and citrus, you won’t be too surprised to find some of those in the whisky. Just 305 bottles were released of this special limited edition.
