Highland Park 15 Year Old Viking Heart

Highland Park was founded in 1798, though the distillery was only officially licensed in 1826, based on the rugged, beautiful island of Orkney, an archipelago off the northeastern coast of Scotland. Taking great inspiration from its Viking heritage, Highland Park Viking Heart is a 15-year-old single malt, matured predominantly in sherry-seasoned European oak casks, packing in fruity, spicy notes, as well as sherry-seasoned American oak casks, adding a dose of vanilla.

That dreamy duo, along with a few refill casks in the mix to bring a gentle, mellow sweetness, pair beautifully with the distillery’s hallmark heathery peat smoke. Master whisky maker Gordon Motion chose to bottle this one at 44% ABV to allow all those flavours to really shine.
