Product details
Originally a brewery in Elgin, Glen Moray was founded as a distillery in 1897, but closed for a while in 1910 as one of the victims of the Scotch whisky post-boom slump. It wasn’t until 1923 that it was back up and running, and since then, though its maltings were closed in 1978, has been on the upward slope, doubling its number of stills to four.
First launched in 2016 this is the 15 Year Old, a 50:50 blend of American oak-matured whisky, which enhances the classic buttery style of Glen Moray, and oloroso sherry-matured spirits, bringing a symphony of spice to the mix.
