Benrinnes 15 Year Old 2006 - Old Particular Fanatical About Flavour (Douglas Laing) (MoM Exclusive)

Exclusive whisky alert! This brilliant Benrinnes was bottled just for Master of Malt, that friendly bunch behind Pour & Sip. This was distilled at Benrinnes in November 2006, and it spent the next 15 years in a single cask – number #15419, if you were looking for specifics.

Then the experienced team at independent bottler Douglas Laing chose to bottle it up in January 2022 for the Old Particular Fanatical About Flavour series (try saying that five times fast!). Just 294 bottles were released at a generous 51.5% ABV, brimming with notes of creamy barley, orchard fruit, and baked goods. Distillery bottlings of Benrinnes are rare with much of its whisky going into blends (most notably Johnnie Walker and J&B), so it’s a joy to see the single malt shining here in all its glory!
